WOW! I can't believe how fast this week is going! The artists are bringing so much energy it make me smile an. I wish I could do another week. I hope the children are having fun. We asked the children this morning what they liked about art camp. " I like that we get to me new friends", I like that we get to do wha we want, use our ideas. "I like to weave"
Today the artists started with a vengeance making art. The first day jitters and nervousness is gone and the creative ideas are beginning to really flow.
I can't believe it's been a whole year. We are ready and excited to spend the next week exploring creativity with your kids. This year I am lucky to have Ms Wroblewski from Brandywine Elementary helping with the 2-dimensional side of camp. Blocks Paper Scissors Art Camp is a unique art camp where we let the children use their own ideas and problem solving skills to create. The results are very different and creative. It's not always about the end result and more about the process. As you can see from the pictures below, the variety and complexity of children's art work can be messy and look unfinished. This is expected as children ideas are generally fluent and ephemeral.
